Very recently sakhejung has adapted the green tea technology. The quality of raw material is the most important factor that leads to making a good tea. Like the other varieties Sakhejung tops the quality parameters of green tea with respect to other tea growing areas of Nepal.
Similar to White teas- Green teas are also rich in catechins and other beneficial minerals, the green pigment of the tea plant is retained. Green tea from Sakhejung have abundance of vitamin C and E due to micro climatic and soil conditions.
The green teas from sakhejung maybe a little bold in appearance but it acquires the shiny green sheen of the natural tea leaf and unfurls green liquor which has a ripe vegetal sweetness which can be a memorable experience.
